Controleer voor de installatie of je apparaat:

• Ondersteunt eSIM's (zie Welke apparaten ondersteunen eSIM? of Hoe controleer ik of mijn iOS-apparaat eSIM ondersteunt?).
• Ontgrendeld is
• Heeft een stabiele internetverbinding (bij voorkeur wifi)

Where can I find the eSIM installation instructions in the Airalo app?

You can find all the instructions to install your eSIM by doing the following.

1. Open de Airalo-app.
2. Go to My eSIMs and select your eSIM.
3. Go to the section "Ready to use your eSIM?"
4. Select Install or share.

To view the manual instructions, select View other options then View instructions under Manual instrutions.

Why can't I find the installation instructions after I install my eSIM?

When Airalo detects your eSIM is installed, the instructions to add the eSIM may no longer be visible in the app — you will see the "How to connect" section instead so you can connect to a network and use your eSIM.

If you need to reference the installation instructions for any reason, you can reference the installation instructions PDF attached to your order confirmation or eSIM delivered email.

Hoe installeer je handmatig een eSIM op iOS?

1. Open Instellingen
2. Selecteer Mobiel (of Mobiele gegevens)
3. Selecteer eSIM toevoegen (of Mobiel gegevensabonnement toevoegen)
4. Selecteer QR-code gebruiken en vervolgens Details handmatig invoeren
5. Voer het SM-DP+-adres, de activeringscode en de bevestigingscode in (indien verstrekt)
6. Selecteer Volgende en vervolgens twee keer Doorgaan
7. Wacht een paar minuten tot je eSIM is geactiveerd en selecteer vervolgens Gereed
8. Kies een label voor je eSIM (bijvoorbeeld "Airalo")
9. Op de pagina Standaard lijnen:
   • Selecteer je primaire lijn voor bellen en sms'en
   • Selecteer je primaire lijn voor iMessage en FaceTime
   • Selecteer je eSIM van Airalo voor Mobiele gegevens
10. Zorg ervoor dat Overschakelen naar mobiele gegevens toestaan is UITGESCHAKELD

*Als je eSIM naast gegevens ook bellen en sms'en ondersteunt, kun je deze selecteren voor bellen en sms'en.

Verbinding maken met een netwerk

1. Go to Settings > Cellular and select your new eSIM.
2. Enable Turn On This Line.
3. Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data > and select your new eSIM, if not selected.
4. Disable Allow Cellular Data Switching.
5. Go to Settings > Cellular > Default Voice Line and select your new eSIM for calls and SMS (if your package includes calls and texts).
6. Go to Settings > Cellular and select your new eSIM.
7. Select Network Selection and disable Automatic.
8. Selecteer het netwerk van de eSIM (zie "Netwerk"). Het kan even duren voordat dit verschijnt.
9. Go to Settings > Cellular > and select your new eSIM.
10. Select Cellular Data Network and enter the APN into all the APN fields for your new eSIM (if required). 
11. Enable Data Roaming for your new eSIM (if required).
12. Turn Airplane Mode on and off.
