Not all Samsung Galaxy devices are eSIM-compatible. Controleer voor de installatie of je apparaat:

- Ontgrendeld is
- Een stabiele internetverbinding heeft
Waar kan ik de installatie-instructies voor de eSIM vinden in de Airalo-app?
Je vindt alle instructies voor het installeren van je eSIM door het volgende te doen.
- Open de Airalo-app.
- Ga naar Mijn eSIM's en selecteer je eSIM.
- Tik op Details weergeven
- Ga naar het gedeelteKlaar om je eSIM te gebruiken?
- Selecteer Installeren of delen.

Waarom kan ik de installatie-instructies niet vinden nadat ik mijn eSIM heb geïnstalleerd?
Wanneer Airalo detecteert dat je eSIM is geïnstalleerd, zijn de instructies voor het toevoegen van de eSIM mogelijk niet meer zichtbaar in de app. Je ziet dan in plaats daarvan het gedeelte 'Verbinden', zodat je verbinding kunt maken met een netwerk en je eSIM kunt gebruiken.
Als je om wat voor reden dan ook de installatie-instructies moet raadplegen, kun je de PDF met installatie-instructies raadplegen die bij je bestelbevestiging of de e-mail die de levering van je eSIM bevestigd.
Hoe installeer ik mijn eSIM direct op mijn Galaxy-apparaat?
- Open de Airalo-app
- Ga naar Mijn eSIM's en selecteer je eSIM
- Selecteer Details weergeven
- Scroll down to find Ready to use your eSIM → Install your eSIM.
- Tap Install or share
- Tap Start installation
- Allow the eSIM to activate if asked. If additional steps appear on your screen, simply follow the instructions shown.
- Wacht een paar minuten tot je eSIM is geactiveerd
- Na het voltooien van deze stappen zie je een bevestiging dat je eSIM is geïnstalleerd.
- Slide to Continue
- A pop-up may appear asking you to enable data roaming for your eSIM (if required). If it does, enable it and Slide to continue.
- Er verschijnt een pop-upvenster met de vraag of u al op uw bestemming bent aangekomen.
- If you are in the destination country, tap Get Connected to check the steps to connect to your network.
- If you haven’t arrived yet, tap Connect Later.
Most eSIM validity periods start only when the eSIM connects to a mobile network in its coverage area, so installing early usually won’t cause you to lose days of your data plan. In some rare cases, validity may begin at installation, so it’s a good idea to check eSIM's validity policy by selecting Package details before or after purchase.
Hoe verbind ik mijn Samsung Galaxy met mobiele gegevens met een eSIM?
Je vindt de verbindingsinstellingen door dezelfde eSIM te openen in de Airalo-app nadat je deze hebt geïnstalleerd. Navigate to My eSIMs → Select your eSIM → View details → Ready to use your eSIM → Connect to a network → How to connect. Daar vind je de exacte stappen die je moet volgen, maar lees verder voor een korte samenvatting.
In het land van bestemming:
- Open Instellingen > Verbindingen
- Tik op Simkaartbeheer
- Tik op Mobiele gegevens en selecteer je eSIM
- Schakel Gegevensroaming in indien nodig (controleer je eSIM-verbindingsinstructies in de app)
- Werk je APN-instellingen indien nodig bij (ook te vinden in je eSIM-verbindingsinstructies)
- Select your new eSIM for calls and SMS (if your package includes calls and texts)
Je eSIM maakt automatisch verbinding met een ondersteund mobiel netwerk.
Inzicht in uw eSIM-status: Geïnstalleerd versus In gebruik
You can track your setup progress directly in the Airalo app by going to My eSIMs, selecting your eSIM, and tapping View details. Depending on your setup stage, you may see one of these statuses:
- Installed: The eSIM profile has been successfully downloaded and configured on your device.
- In Use: The eSIM has successfully connected to a mobile network and initiated a data session.
Note: In most cases, you can see these status updates in the app. However, please note that status visibility may vary depending on your specific eSIM
If you do not see a status, do not worry — simply check if your eSIM appears in your device’s Settings. If it is there, head over to the "How to connect" section in the app / and follow the steps to get connected at your destination.
