Your Guide to Montreal's Osheaga Festival

Planning on traveling to Canada to enjoy Osheaga this year? Here's everything you need to know about the music festival. Get ready for a long weekend of music, fun, and (hopefully) sun.

What Is the Osheaga Music Festival?

Osheaga is a music festival that takes place yearly in Montreal. It usually is held over three days at the end of July or early August. The festival has diverse music, including rock, pop, and hip-hop. It is Canada's largest music festival, with around 150,000 attendees annually.

Can Younger Children Attend?

Osheaga is an all-ages event. Children aged 10 and under are admitted for free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.

Is There Food and Drink at Osheaga?

The festival has a food section called the YUL EAT Gardens, where attendees can discover various food options. There are also on-site bars with beers, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options.

What Activities Can You Partake In?

In addition to the music performances, Osheaga offers a few other activities. The most notable ones are the Ferris wheel and the art installations, which display the work of various well-known and emerging artists.

Osheaga 2025 Lineup

You can find the full lineup on Osheaga's website here. This edition of Osheaga takes place August 1-3 and includes Tyler, The Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, The Chainsmokers, and more. Check the days your favorite artists perform, as performances are split between Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Osheaga 2025 Tickets

Weekend tickets start at $420 CAD or around $300 USD. However, you can purchase single-day tickets starting at $175 CAD or around $130 USD.

You can purchase them from the Osheaga website, which redirects you to Ticketmaster.

How to Get to the Festival

The Osheaga festival takes place on the Parc Jean-Drapeau grounds on Saint Helen's Island.

The easiest way to get there is by taking the Yellow Line of the STM's metro system, which you can take from the Berri-UQAM station. It will lead you to the Jean-Drapeau station next to the festival site.

Where to Stay in Montreal

There are no campgrounds at the festival, so you'll have to secure accommodation in Montreal. We recommend staying somewhere close to the Yellow Line to make it easier to get to the festival.

You can also check Osheaga's Accommodations page for special hotel packages.

Essentials to Bring

Here are some essentials we recommend bringing to the festival:

✅Your tickets
✅A photo ID
✅A small crossbody bag or fanny pack
✅A reusable water bottle
✅A portable phone charger
✅Cashless payment
✅Sunscreen
✅Sunglasses and a hat
✅Comfortable shoes
✅Earplugs
✅Hand sanitizer
✅Tissues

Note: Check the weather ahead of time. Summer in Montreal is usually warm and sunny, but we suggest you bring a poncho if it rains.
