Not all Samsung Galaxy models are eSIM-compatible, so it's a good idea to check that your device supports eSIMs before getting started. Once you have confirmed that your Samsung Galaxy device is eSIM-compatible and carrier-unlocked, you can follow these steps to set up an eSIM.

Where can I find the eSIM installation instructions in the Airalo app?

You can find all the instructions to install your eSIM by doing the following.

1. Open the Airalo app.
2. Go to My eSIMs and select your eSIM.
3. Go to the section "Ready to use your eSIM?"
4. Select Install or share.

Why can't I find the installation instructions after I install my eSIM?

When Airalo detects your eSIM is installed, the instructions to add the eSIM may no longer be visible in the app — you will see the "How to connect" section instead so you can connect to a network and use your eSIM.

If you need to reference the installation instructions for any reason, you can reference the installation instructions PDF attached to your order confirmation or eSIM delivered email.

How to prepare before installing an eSIM?

1. Log in to your Airalo account
2. Go to My eSIMs
3. Select the eSIM you want to install
4. Open the installation instructions. Depending on your app version, you may see:
   • View Installation Instructions, or
   • How to use your eSIM > How to install the eSIM
5. Choose your preferred installation method: Direct, QR Code, or Manual

For connection settings, open the same eSIM and look under How to use your eSIM > Ready to use your eSIM > How to connect (or View Installation Instructions > Page 2/2).

How to install an eSIM directly on a Samsung Galaxy device?

1. In the Airalo app, go to My eSIMs
2. Select your eSIM and open the instructions (View Installation Instructions or How to use your eSIM > How to install the eSIM)
3. Select Direct, then tap Install eSIM
4. Select Allow
5. Wait a few minutes for the installation to complete
6. Once installed, open Settings > Connections > SIM manager
7. Select Mobile data and select your eSIM

How to install an eSIM manually on a Samsung Galaxy device

1. Open Settings
2. Select Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM
3. Select Scan QR code (this may appear as Scan QR code from service provider on some devices)
4. Select Enter activation code
5. Enter the activation code from your eSIM details in the Airalo app
6. Select Connect, then tap Add
7. Once installed, open Settings > Mobile data
8. Select your eSIM

How to install an eSIM via QR code on a Samsung Galaxy device?

1. Open Settings
2. Select Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM
3. Select Scan QR code (this may appear as Scan QR code from service provider on some devices)
4. Scan the QR code from your eSIM details in the Airalo app
5. Select Add
