Why is my top-up package not activating?

You can top up most eSIMs after you run out of data or your initial package expires.

If you’re currently using an eSIM, your top-up should activate automatically.

In some cases, however, you may need to take a few steps to activate your top-up.

How can I activate my top-up?

First, make sure you’ve followed the instructions under “Access Data” in the Airalo app.

  1. Go to the My eSIMs > Details > View instructions for the relevant eSIM.
  2. Follow the instructions listed under “Access Data.”

If you’ve completed the steps correctly, your top-up package may activate automatically — if not, you can take a few extra steps.

What else can I do to activate my top-up?

If your top-up won’t activate with the correct settings enabled, try the following:

  1. Turn airplane mode on
  2. Restart your device
  3. Turn airplane mode off

This may help your device refresh so it can connect to a network and your top-up can activate.
