Als je moeilijkheden ondervindt met het verbinden van je Airalo eSIM met het internet na installatie op een Google Pixel-apparaat, zorg er dan voor dat je de stappen voor toegang tot data voor je eSIM hebt voltooid.
Je vindt deze in je Airalo-account:
- OPEN the Airalo app
- TAP My eSIMs.
- Locate the eSIM you want to use.
- TAP View Details
- Locate Ready to use your eSIM > Connect to a network
- TAP How to connect

Bevestig voordat je verdergaat met de volgende stappen dat de eSIM-lijn INGESCHAKELD en geselecteerd is voor mobiele data.
- GA naar Instellingen.
- GO to Network & internet.
- TIK op Simkaarten.
- ZORG ERVOOR dat de eSIM ingeschakeld is. If not, toggle it ON.
- TOGGLE ON Mobile data.
Note: Most eSIM validity periods start only when the eSIM connects to a mobile network in its coverage area. So installing early usually won’t cause you to lose days of your data plan. In some rare cases, validity may begin at installation, so it’s a good idea to check eSIM's validity policy by selecting Package details before or after purchase.
De APN-instellingen bijwerken (indien nodig):
CHECK if you need to modify the APN on your device by opening the Airalo app and viewing your eSIM connection instructions.
- GA naar Instellingen.
- GO to Network & internet.
- TIK op Simkaarten.
- TIK op je eSIM.
- TIK op Toegangspuntnamen.
- TAP the + icon.
- VOER de nieuwe APN in het veld APN in.
- TAP OK.
- ENTER Airalo as the APN's label in the Name field.
- LAAT de andere velden leeg.
- TIK in de rechterbovenhoek op het menu met de drie punten.
- TIK op Opslaan.
- ZORG ervoor dat de toegevoegde APN is geselecteerd.
Dataroaming inschakelen (indien nodig):
CHECK if you need to enable Data Roaming on your device by opening the Airalo app and viewing your eSIM connection instructions.
- GA naar Instellingen.
- GO to Network & internet.
- TIK op Simkaarten.
- TIK op je eSIM.
- TOGGLE Roaming ON or OFF.
Bonus Step: Connect to the Supported Network:
If your eSIM doesn't connect automatically:
- GA naar Instellingen.
- GO to Network & internet.
- TIK op Simkaarten.
- TIK op je eSIM.
- DISABLE Automatically select network.
- SELECT the network specified in your eSIM’s Access Data information.
- Turn on airplane mode, restart your device, then turn it off again and try to connect.
Als je de bovenstaande instructies correct gevolgd hebt, zou je Airalo-eSIM verbonden moeten zijn met het internet.
Understanding your eSIM status: Installed vs. In Use
You can track your setup progress directly in the Airalo app by going to My eSIMs, selecting your eSIM, and tapping View details. Depending on your setup stage, you may see one of these statuses:
- Installed: The eSIM profile has been successfully downloaded and configured on your device.
- In Use: The eSIM has successfully connected to a mobile network and initiated a data session.
Note: In most cases, you can see these status updates in the app. However, please note that status visibility may vary depending on your specific eSIM
If you do not see a status, do not worry — simply check if your eSIM appears in your device’s Settings. If it is there, head over to the "How to connect" section in the app / and follow the steps to get connected at your destination.
