Niet alle Samsung Galaxy-apparaten zijn compatibel met een eSIM. Controleer voordat je begint met installeren of je apparaat:
- eSIM's ondersteunt
- simlockvrij is
- over een stabiele internetverbinding beschikt

Waar vind ik de instructies voor eSIM-installatie in de Airalo-app?
Je vindt alle instructies voor het installeren van je eSIM door het volgende te doen.
- Open de Airalo-app.
- Ga naar Mijn eSIM's en selecteer je eSIM.
- Tik op Gegevens bekijken
- Go to the section Ready to use your eSIM?
- Selecteer Installeren of delen.
To view the manual installation instructions and QR code, select Share and more, or start the installation directly by clicking on Start installation.
Waarom kan ik de installatie-instructies niet vinden nadat ik mijn eSIM geïnstalleerd heb?
Wanneer Airalo detecteert dat je eSIM geïnstalleerd is, zijn de instructies voor het toevoegen van de eSIM mogelijk niet meer zichtbaar in de app. Je ziet dan in plaats daarvan het gedeelte "Verbinding maken", zodat je verbinding kunt maken met een netwerk en je eSIM kunt gebruiken.
Als je om wat voor reden dan ook de installatie-instructies moet raadplegen, kun je de PDF met installatie-instructies raadplegen die bij je bestelbevestiging of de e-mail over de geleverde eSIM gevoegd is.
Een eSIM installeren via een QR-code op een Samsung Galaxy-apparaat
- Open Instellingen
- Selecteer Verbindingen > Simkaartbeheer > eSIM toevoegen
- Selecteer QR-code scannen (dit kan worden weergegeven als QR-code van serviceprovider scannen op sommige apparaten)
- Scan de QR-code van je eSIM-gegevens in de Airalo-app
- Selecteer Toevoegen
- Allow the eSIM to activate if asked; if additional steps appear on your screen, simply follow the instructions shown.
- Wacht een paar minuten totdat je eSIM geactiveerd is.
- Next, you’ll set up your eSIM by following the steps in the How to Connect section.
How can I connect to a network?
You can find the connection settings by opening the same eSIM in the Airalo app after installing it. Navigate to My eSIMs → Select your eSIM → View details → Ready to use your eSIM → Connect to a network → How to connect. There, you'll find the exact steps you need to follow, but read on for a quick summary.
In the destination country:
- Open Instellingen > Verbindingen
- Tik op Simkaartbeheer
- Tik op Mobiele data en selecteer je eSIM
- Schakel indien nodig Dataroaming in (controleer de instructiesom verbinding te maken met je eSIM in de app)
- Werk indien nodig je APN-instellingen bij (je vindt die ook in de instructies om verbinding te maken met je eSIM)
- Select your new eSIM for calls and SMS (if your package includes calls and texts).
Je eSIM zou automatisch verbinding moeten maken met een ondersteund mobiel netwerk.
Understanding your eSIM status: Installed vs. In Use
You can track your setup progress directly in the Airalo app by going to My eSIMs, selecting your eSIM, and tapping View details. Depending on your setup stage, you may see one of these statuses:
- Installed: The eSIM profile has been successfully downloaded and configured on your device.
- In Use: The eSIM has successfully connected to a mobile network and initiated a data session.
Note: In most cases, you can see these status updates in the app. However, please note that status visibility may vary depending on your specific eSIM
If you do not see a status, do not worry — simply check if your eSIM appears in your device’s Settings. If it is there, head over to the "How to connect" section in the app / and follow the steps to get connected at your destination.
