Controleer voordat je begint met installeren of je apparaat:

• eSIM's ondersteunt (zie Welke apparaten ondersteunen eSIM's? of Hoe controleer ik of mijn iOS-apparaat eSIM's ondersteunt?)
• simlockvrij is
• over een stabiele internetverbinding beschikt (bij voorkeur wifi)

Where can I find the eSIM installation instructions in the Airalo app?

You can find all the instructions to install your eSIM by doing the following.

1. Open de Airalo-app.
2. Go to My eSIMs and select your eSIM.
3. Go to the section "Ready to use your eSIM?"
4. Select Install or share.

To view the manual instructions, select View other options then View instructions under Manual instrutions.

Why can't I find the installation instructions after I install my eSIM?

When Airalo detects your eSIM is installed, the instructions to add the eSIM may no longer be visible in the app — you will see the "How to connect" section instead so you can connect to a network and use your eSIM.

If you need to reference the installation instructions for any reason, you can reference the installation instructions PDF attached to your order confirmation or eSIM delivered email.

Een eSIM handmatig installeren voor iOS

1. Open Instellingen
2. Selecteer Mobiel (of Mobiele data)
3. Selecteer eSIM toevoegen (of Mobiel abonnement/Mobiele data-abonnement toevoegen)
4. Selecteer Gebruik QR-code, en selecteer vervolgens Voer info handmatig in
5. Voer het SM-DP+-adres, de activeringscode en de bevestigingscode (indien beschikbaar) in
6. Selecteer Volgende, en dan tweemaal Doorgaan
7. Wacht een paar minuten totdat je eSIM geactiveerd is en selecteer Gereed
8. Kies een label voor je eSIM (bijv. “Airalo”)
9. Op de pagina's Standaardlijn:
   • Selecteer je primaire lijn voor oproepen en sms-berichten
   • Selecteer je primaire lijn voor iMessage en FaceTime
   • Selecteer je Airalo-eSIM voor Mobiel/Mobiele data
10. Controleer of Overschakelen naar mobiele gegevens toestaan is UITGESCHAKELD

*Als je eSIM naast data ook bellen en sms'en ondersteunt, kun je deze selecteren voor oproepen en sms-berichten.

Verbinding maken met een netwerk

1. Go to Settings > Cellular and select your new eSIM.
2. Enable Turn On This Line.
3. Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data > and select your new eSIM, if not selected.
4. Disable Allow Cellular Data Switching.
5. Go to Settings > Cellular > Default Voice Line and select your new eSIM for calls and SMS (if your package includes calls and texts).
6. Go to Settings > Cellular and select your new eSIM.
7. Select Network Selection and disable Automatic.
8. Selecteer het netwerk van de eSIM (zie "Netwerk"). Het kan even duren voor het verschijnt.
9. Go to Settings > Cellular > and select your new eSIM.
10. Select Cellular Data Network and enter the APN into all the APN fields for your new eSIM (if required). 
11. Enable Data Roaming for your new eSIM (if required).
12. Turn Airplane Mode on and off.
