APN stands for Access Point Name. It tells your device how to connect to the internet. With the new Airalo, your APN is configured automatically — you don't need to change any settings.

If you're having trouble connecting and need a fallback, you can manually set the APN to "globalapn".

Also, in rare cases, eSIMs in the public Airalo require you to manually update your APN settings in order to access data.

How do I know if I'm using the new Airalo or the public Airalo?

• If the app asks you to set up your device once and buy packages, you are using the new Airalo. Simply open the Packages tab (formerly "My eSIMs") to complete setup, and after that, whenever you buy a new package for your desired destination, it will be added to that same device automatically—no new setup needed.
• If the app shows individual eSIM installation instructions for each purchase and the My eSIMs tab instead of Packages, you are likely using the public Airalo.

Where can I find the APN details for my eSIM?

You can find the APN details for your eSIM in the Airalo app:

1. Log in to your Airalo account.
2. Go to My eSIMs.
3. Select the eSIM.
4. Tap View details.
5. Go to the section Ready to use your eSIM?
6. Tap How to connect.

If the APN is not listed, it means your eSIM is configured automatically, and no further action is required.

On iOS:

1. Open Settings.
2. Select Cellular (or Mobile Data).
3. Choose your eSIM under Cellular Plans (or Mobile Data Plans).
4. Select Cellular Data Network (or Mobile Data Network).
5. Enter the APN exactly as shown in your eSIM installation details (all lowercase, no spaces).
   • Example: globaldata
6. Leave the other fields blank.

On Android:

1. Open Settings.
2. Select Network & Internet (this may also appear as Connections on some devices).
3. Choose Mobile Networks.
4. Select Access Point Names.
5. Enter the APN exactly as shown in your eSIM installation details (all lowercase, no spaces).
   • Example: globaldata
6. Leave the other fields blank.

Once you update your APN, your device should connect to mobile data using your Airalo eSIM. If it does not connect immediately, restart your device to apply the new settings.
